Mrs. Elnora Williams-Hills, 78, or Acworth, Georgia passed on Monday, August 29, 2016.  Funeral service for Mrs. Hill will be on Saturday, September 3, 2016, 12:00 P.M. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 4255 Taylor Street, Acworth, Georgia.  She will lie in-state from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.  Interment will immediately follow the service at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Acworth, Georgia.

Her Life

On August 29, 2016, God called home one of his Angels, Mother Elnora Williams-Hill, to enter eternal rest and peace.  Mother Hill was born on February 17, 1938 in White Plains Alabama (Calhoun County) to the late French Leo and Dorothy Williams.  Her paternal grandparents were Charlie and Rena Williams and her maternal grandmother was Jeanette Morgan.  Her Great Grandmother Helen Morgan lived to be 105 yrs old.

Mother Elnora Hill was raised by her grandmother and the eldest of ten siblings. Edna Morris, French Leon Williams (Vera), Carrie L Reid who preceded Mother Hill in death, Frank Williams (Carol), Joe L. Williams, Gloria S. Williams, Alvin Williams who also preceded Mother Hill in death, Lynn Williams (Connie), Dorothy "Dottie" Williams and Nadine Williams who preceded Mother Hill in death.

Mother Hill moved to Marietta GA where she met Doyal Hill, Sr and married on October 27,1956.  In 1960 the move was made to Acworth GA. To this union was born four children. Beverly Darlene Almon, Clarence Eugene Hill, II, Deborah Elaine Bennett (Charles), Tammy C. Pyron, and Doyal H. Hill, Jr., who proceeded Mother Hill's home going in April of 2009.  Mother Hill was blessed with fifteen grand children and Seventeen great grand children.

In 1971 Mother Hill joined Zion Hill Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her heavenly transition and also organized a youth choir. Singing was her life and she loved praising God in song with spouse Doyal and family members forming the quartet group, The Lindley Gospel Singers, who traveled numerous states and cities for over 40 years to spread the gospel in song.  At Zion Hill Missionary Church, Mother Hill sang with the praise team and for many years, a member of the adult choir.

Mother Hill leaves much love and many precious memories to be cherished by her spouse, children, grand children, great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many cherished and unforgettable friends.
