Esther Mae Davis Hardy

Ms. Esther Mae Davis Hardy, age 66, of Cartersville, Georgia 30120 passed on January 2, 2017. Funeral Service will be  Monday, January 9,2017 at 1:00 PM at  Euharlee Baptist Church 1103 Euharlee Rd.SW, Euharlee, Ga. 30145. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family Friday, January 6, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:00pm at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home.

Esther Mae Davis Hardy was born on June 28, 1950 in Bartow County to the late Henrietta Turner and K.P. Davis. She was educated in the Bartow County School System and graduated from Summer Hill in the Class of 1969.

Esther accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Greater New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Willie E. Coombs. She was dedicated to her church, serving on the usher board, kitchen staff and the cleaning committee. When it came to her church no job was too big or too small for Esther Mae.

She was employed by the Southern Yarn Dyers Company and retired after 20 plus years of service.

Esther Mae was very much a “people person” never meeting any strangers. If you were in her company, she made you feel loved. All her friends meant a lot to her and if she cooked for you, you knew you were very special. That was her way of showing love!

Early on Monday, January 2, 2017, God called his angel “Our Queen” home. Her love is left to be cherished by her  four daughters, Rhonda (Carey) Miller, Cindy Tanner, Derinda (Jermaine) Wilson and Lanette Hardy; three step daughters, Elizabeth, Martika, Shameka Hardy; two step sons, Brandon and LaDarious Hardy; nine grandchildren, LaShala (Terrance) Benham, Damisha Moore, Dionta (Dayjhelon) Hardy, Donlin (Shaimira) Hinton, April (David) Hill, LaTerry Hardy, Sabrina Hardy, Shaniya Wilson and Tatianna Christian; fifteen great grandchildren, six sisters, Queen Chisum, Charlotte (Willie Troy) Johnson, Truhelen Davis, Linda Green, Alma Davis, Laura Davis and Willie Mae (Sam) Jiles; three brothers, Franklin (Gwen)Davis, Perry Davis Jr., and Sherman (Lethicia) Davis; two special sisters in law, Diane Hardy and Brenda Sue Hardy; four brothers in law, Harold( Linda) Hardy, Mark Hardy, Tim Hardy, and Glenn Hardy, special friends and love ones, Joyce Johnson, Teresa Hartfield, Bridgett Greene, Patricia Bright, Loretta Baulding, Janice Amos, Ricky Owens, Michelle Allen, Judy Davis, Faith Baulding, Haily Williams, Jermaine Wilson, Torrence Hendrix, Brunson Sapp, Mikayla Lowe, Zakerria Mayhall, Valissa Batts “Brownie”,Truenette Tolbert, her dear church mother, Mary Carter, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews love ones and friends.
