Mr. Claude Lewis McCorkle,Jr.

Mr. Claude L. McCorkle, Jr., aka "C", 73, of Cartersville, Georgia passed on Sunday, June 19, 2016, surrounded by his loving family and friends. A Memorial Cookout will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Claude "C" McCorkle, Jr., was born in Cartersville, GA on May 30, 1943 to the late Claude and Ida Bell (Canty) McCorkle. He served in the United States Air Force in the late 1960's through the early 1970's. Claude had many jobs during his lifetime , but cooking and crafting were his favorites. He attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he served as an Usher , and was an Honorary Deacon until his health problems prevented him from attending.

Claude leaves to cherish his memories many family members and friends. Those remembering the good times spent with "C" include his children; Tyler, Benjamin, and  Veronica McCorkle, Lesa Petrey and Tommy Lovingood , and their mother Tina Petrey; grandson, Isiaha Petrey; sisters, Merisa Ellis and Ida L. McCorkle; nephews, Desmond and Dorian; niece, Danielle Ellis; aunts and uncles, Pauline and John Wilson, Geneva and Robert Boyer, and Lillian and John Cawthon, and other family members and friends.
