Mr. John Matthew McClain was born October 13, 1971 in Cartersville, Georgia, to Mr. John W. McClain and Mrs. Willie Jean McAfee Waits. Thursday, March 22, 2018 Mr. McClain made a peaceful transition into the arms of a loving savior.
Mr. McClain was educated in the Cartersville School System and was an advocate sports fan from his youth. John enjoyed playing football, basketball and running track. Affectionately known as “06” sometimes called “Train”, he set many football records in high school and folks from all over would pack the stands to watch him play. Due to his outstanding athleticism John was highly recruited by major colleges and universities. However, due to a heart condition John was unable to pursue his college and NFL football dreams.
