On July 13, 2017, God sent his angels for Mrs. Clara Ruth Ayers to be with him in a place of peace.  Clara was born July 29, 1942 to the late Annie and Erwin Perkinson.  She grew up in Emerson, Georgia where she met and married Hugh Ayers, and to this union six children were born.  The couple resided in Acworth and later move to Cartersville, where she lived until her passing.

Clara joined Damascus Baptist Church at a young age and remained a faithful member until her passing.  She worked at Cartersville City Pawn until her retirement in 2016.  Clara was loved by many, and was known to most as Mama Clara.  She was a kind gentle woman who helped anyone any way she could.  She will be truly missed, but greatly remembered.
