Mrs. Georgia Louise Williams

Mrs.Georgia Louise Williams, aka “Red”, of Cartersville, GA. passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2:00pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00pm until the hour of service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 6:00pm -7:00pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home.

Georgia was born on June 8, 1928 in Tunnel Hill Georgia, to the late Ella Mae and George Sanders. Of ten children, she was the only daughter born to this Union.

As the only girl, she helped her mother raise her brothers.

She was educated in the Bartow County School System. Georgia joined Queen Chapel Church, Kingston Georgia where she was a faithful member serving on various committees, including preparing food and serving families during their time of bereavement.

Georgia was employed with the Bartow County School System working at Cass Middle School, Harbor Road, Tabernacle Church and the Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of the Unity Breakfast Club, the devoted Wednesday Ladies and the Eastern Star.

Georgia was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory,children; Pauline Williams, Willie Williams(Patricia), Danny Williams(Audrey), Ricky Williams(JoAnn),Darlene Williams and Monica Shaw(Horace); grandchildren,Randall Shawn, Bill,Ronald, Rico, Angel, Erica, Jeff, Lane, Ashley, Mark,Danny, Lamar,Trey, Tiara, Nick Darelle, Britney and Kyra; brothers, Billy James Sanders and Mack Sanders; a host of great grandchildren,nieces,nephew,cousins and friends.
