Ms. Gayla Denise Knight

Ms. Gayla Denise Knight, 55, of Cartersville, Georgia passed Sunday, July 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

On Sunday, July 30, 2017, God called home one of his Angels, Ms. Gayla Denise Knight, to enter eternal rest in peace.  Gayla was born on November 26, 1961 in Fulton County, Georgia to the late Robert A. Knight and Norma J. Ellington Knight.  She later moved to Cartersville, Georgia where she graduated from Cartersville High School.

Gayla enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was very outgoing, had a great heart, and wonderful sense of humor, which would often make her the life of the party.  She would welcome anyone into her home and would cook food to last for several days.

Gayla leaves to cherish loving memories to her children, Nikita Knight (Eric) and Shauwan Wilson (Thomas); grandchildren, Jaylan and Jakya Garnigan, D’Nya Wilson, Carmela and Angel Forero, Adrian Heyward Wilson, and Zavian Heyward Wilson; siblings, an aunt, an uncle, and a host of cousins, loved ones and friends.

Service for Ms. Knight will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at Alexander Chapel United Methodist Church.  She will lie in state at the church from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home.
