Sharon Vandora (Vandora) Scrutchins

Mrs. Sharon Vandora Scrutchins, 68, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00am at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, GA. 30120.

Sharon was born on April 1, 1948 in Cartersville, Georgia to the late Edward Solomon and Willie Mae Fowler Solomon. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Beginning Church of God in Christ, Emerson, Georgia. She later moved her membership to Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, Cartersville, Georgia.

Sharon met and married the love of her life the late Wayne Scrutchins, and to this union seven children were born. She loved being a mother and a homemaker for her family. The highlight of her life was having all the family together eating, singing and having fun.

She leaves to cherish her memories; three daughters, Melissa Scrutchins, Christine Scrutchins and Lady Ward; four sons, John Scrutchins (Marcella), Frederick Scrutchins (Yanik), Clinton Scrutchins (Kenita), and William Wayne Scrutchins; three sisters, Lois Jean Kellogg (James), Minnie Carson (Nathaniel), and Avery June Solomon; two brothers, Thomas Edward Solomon and Jolly Mitchell Solomon; twenty-three grandchildren; one great grandchild; one Aunt, Berlene Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
