Juanita James Obituary

Juanita James, 72 of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Pruitt Health of Marietta surrounded by her loving family. A  Private Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home  Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 11:00AM until the hour of service. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 4:00PM - 5:00PM at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Juanita Beavers James, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2024. She lived a joyful life despite her courageous battle with dementia and schizophrenia. She was born on September 10, 1951.  As a young adult, Juanita was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Cassville, Georgia. She attended Summer Hill High School but graduated from Cass High School in 1969. She began her matriculation at Fort Valley State University. Shortly thereafter, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert L. James, in July of 1975. Juanita was a devoted wife and mother who loved traveling the country. Her friendly nature and boisterous laugh were loved by many. She would always keep in touch with friends and family whether it was through a phone call or a handwritten letter. Many of her siblings thoroughly enjoyed receiving her letters because she always included pictures. Juanita became quite the photographer and was always eager to share a Kodak moment.

Juanita is survived by her caring daughter Kristy James, son-in-law Valentine James, step-granddaughter Ali James; three grandchildren,Celesia James Paige, Abigail James, and Aiden James; She also leaves behind four close siblings Delores Beavers, Alma Foster, Mary McCleary, Esther L. Hunter, and one sisterin-law, Delores Sims Beavers; In addition, a host of nieces, nephews and close friends remain to delight in Juanita’s memory.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents Allen Beavers Sr. and Frances Phillips Beavers; her ex-husband Robert L. James; her loving son Dexter Allen James and her dear brother Allen Beavers Jr. The family of Juanita would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Juanita will be deeply missed and her memory will last in our hearts forever.
