Veronica Luerena Johnson, aka "Precious" , 53 passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Piedmont Healthcare of Cartersville. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 12:00P.M. at New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church , 200 Cliff Nelson Road, Euharlee, Georgia 30145. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, 165 Old Tennessee Road NE, Cartersville, Georgia  30121. Veronica Luerena "Precious" Johnson was born in Cartersville, Georgia on June 18, 1970 to Thelma Cheeks Cook and the late Joe Brown Lawrence. She accepted Christ at an early age , and attended New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Bartow County School System.

Veronica carried a special love for her family, and friends. She had eight siblings and a lot of aunts and uncles. Her greatest love was her fiance', John and her dog Chico.

Precious departed this life on Saturday, February 24, 2024 , and was preceded in death by her father, Joe Brown Lawrence.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Thelma Cheeks Cook; brothers, Houston Jr. and Jerome (Darla) Johnson; sisters, Tina Davis, Jodie Ross, Carolyn Carson, Gloria Drew, Larissa (Elbert) Brown, and Cheryl Tierrablanca; fiance', John Gill; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
