Billy was born on May 8,1968 to the late Billy Mack Rogers Sr. and Mary Lou Hodges in Cartersville, Georgia. He was one of seven children. He was educated in the City of Cartersville School System. Billy was a fun loving person he had a severe asthma problem during his younger years which prevented him from playing sports. to make up for this Billy learned all about the different types of sports team players , such as football, basketball, baseball and playing cards. He could tell you about any team, team member and what position, college or whatever they participated in. He would often say" I know it when it comes to my teams". Laughter was the biggest part of Billy a he was sickly during his lifetime and making his family laugh made him very happy.

He was a great cook and he held various jobs as a cook in throughout the community. He worked for Long John Silver's , KFC and Star Crest just to name a few. Billy was a man hat cherished and loved everyone he came into contact with, so if you knew him you knew he loved and cared for you.

Billy loved playing cards, drawing and eating (not in that order). He did both faithfully. enjoying talking and laughing with all of his friends was important to him. His favorite basketball team was the Golden State warriors. Billy also thought that he was a comedian, he could tell the best jokes and would have you laugh really hard until you cried.

He leaves to cherish his memories; mother, Mary Lou Chatmon; sons, LaShawn and Joshua Harvey; siblings, Denise (Chris ) Morgan, Kenny Rogers, Stephanie (Willie) Chatmon, Patricia (William) Bryant, Angie Rogers and Dale Rogers; grandchildren, LaShawn Jr., LaShia and Jayden; uncle, Sammy George and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly and his very special friend and caregiver Tonya McClinic.
