Carla Latressa Brown was born October 28, 1970 to LM Brown and the late Carolyn Anderson Brown.

She joined St. Luke AME Church at an early age and was an active member of the choir. She later joined Christ Temple Rapture Preparation Center under the leadership of Elder Elijah Carter, sr.
Carla was a graduate of Cartersville High School, class of 1988. She furthered her education at Savannah State College. She was a member of the Savannah State marching band and served as the captain of the Flag Corp. While living on campus, Tim Mack caught Carla’s eye and they became college sweethearts. The two were inseparable. A true love was formed and Paris Rayona Brown was born.
After returning to Cartersville, she met married Nundall Carter in 1999, and to this union Justice Carter was born.
Carla was very passionate about her work with the Relay for Life. She believed that a cure for Breast Cancer was on the cutting edge and she wanted to do her part wipe out this disease. During the big campaign drive, her mission was to paint the town purple” and that she did!
We are going to miss her smile, and hearing saying, in her own little smart way “S-H-A-M-E”
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother; Carolyn Anderson Brown, grandmother; Estell Hall, and brother; Harold Brown.
Left to cherish her memories: children; Paris and Justice, father ; LM Brown, step-father Elmar Joe Brown, one grandson Cameron Bryelle Davis, One brother Walter (Mann) Brown Sr., grandfather Walter H. Anderson, step-grandfather David L. Hall, two step-sisters; Sabrina Brown and Dominique Sanders,  two step-brothers; Thomas (Tammy) Brown, Prince Porter, Aunts, Special Aunt Lucy ( Lockey) Slocum, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
