Connie Renita (Green) Green

Ms. Connie Renita Green, 61 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 1:00pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 147 Jones Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 12:00pm (noon) until the  hour of service. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, 319 North Erwin Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Connie was born on September 16, 1958 in Cartersville, Georgia to Clayton H. Green Sr. and Barbara Weems Green. She joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She attended Sunday school and sang in the youth choir. Connie was musically inclined; she went on to play the piano and sang duets with her father.

Connie attended Cartersville High School and graduated with the class of 1976. She enjoyed playing basketball and running track.  She furthered her education, majoring in Business Administration at Tuskegee University.

Connie worked as a Para-professional for the Mission Road Elementary School, for many years. She enjoyed working with the younger children. She wanted to make sure students that needed a little more attention and help, received it so that they could succeed.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loving and devoted parents, Clayton and Barbara Green, brother, Clayton Jr. (Marcella) Green; nieces, Gabrielle (Donnie) Wright, Andrea (Michael) Arima, and Adrienne Green; aunts and uncles, Reverend Will (Betty) Weems, Bobby Green, Queen (Ralph) Lowe, Johnny (Bonnie) Green, Carol Green, June Green and Drucilla (Carl) McClellan, and a very special cousin, Sonya Weems Smith and a host of other cousins and friends.
