Henry Edward Wise Sr.

Mr. Henry E. Wise , 80 of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 11:00am at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 4826 School Street, Acworth, Georgia 30101.  The body will lie in state in the church from 10:00am until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Acworth, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Mr. Henry Edward Wise, Sr. was born on June 3, 1939 to the late Tillman Wise and Louise Morris. He was raised in Acworth, Georgia and loved his city and the people in it. Henry never met a stranger. Mot days he could be found sitting on the front porch of his home on Northside Drive, or his truck in front of his apartment on School Street. He was always ready to throw up a wave and greet you with a smile, and also tell a few jokes. Henry and his unforgettable greeting "4151" when he picked up the phone will forever be remembered and missed.

Henry was a proud employee of the Coca-Cola Company for 16 years. After retiring, he went to work for Lacey Drugs where he also retired. As the hardworking man that Henry was, he also started and owned his own business, New Again Lawn Services, where he serviced the homes and businesses of his community for over 12 years. He was a faithful member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and a Trustee as well.

Henry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Myrtle Wise. He leaves to cherish his memory, three children, Henry Wise, Jr., Andrea Mathis, and Cynthia Birse (Reginald); beloved sister, Annette Copeland (Marcell); brother-in-law, Tommy Summerour (Mickie), and a devoted special friend, Helen Hill; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great deal of friends.
