Mr. Aron Daniel McNeely

Mr. Aron Daniel McNeely, 67, of Cartersville, GA. , formerly of New York City, NY passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel until the hour of service at which time the family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Aron Daniel McNeely was born on August 31, 1950, in Wyandanch Long Island, New York to the late Aron D. McNeely and Helen I. McNeely.  On Friday, February 16, 2018, God called him home to take his eternal rest. Aron 'aka' Blackie to his immediate family, was a very special person to all that knew him, especially the kids; they truly loved him.

He attended Wyandanch Memorial High School in Long Island, New York, graduating with the Class of 1968. Aron was an avid football player and was always a team player.

Aron loved life add after graduating, he went on to become a youth counselor, for the community kids. He was also a Certified Master Barber for the State of New York. He loved to sing and play his music, from R&B to Gospel, he loved it all.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard E. McNeely; sisters, Paula Thompkins and Geraldine Hagans; and a special friend Karen Shaw.

Aron leaves too cherish his memories; children, LaWanna McNeely, Aron Shaw, Yusef McNeely, Robin Davis, and Akeem Robinson; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Michele McNeely of Huntington, NY, Pamela Dawkins (Steven) of Gaffney, SC; brothers, Howard Thompkins (Marsha) of Lithonia, GA, Bruce Culbreath of Uniondale, NY,and Bruce McNeely of San Diego, CA; special friends, Evelyn McNeely of Ohio, Linda Wagner of South Carolina, and Nancy McRae of Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that loved him very much.
