Mr. Arthur Leon McGregor, Jr aka "PG, Cowboy, Cigar Man and Leon", passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12:00pm (noon) at Damascus Baptist Church, 174 Gaston Westbrook Avenue, Emerson, Georgia. The body will lie in state in the church from 11:00am until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral.
 
Mr. Arthur Leon McGregor, Jr. was born on April 11, 1944 in Dallas, Georgia to the late Arthur Leon Sr. and Myrtle Shooks. He was the first born to this union.
He was educated in the Paulding County School System, attending Matthews Consolidated School. At an early age he joined Mars Hill Baptist Church in Dallas, Georgia and remained a member until his death.
 
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Louise A. Perkinson on January 14, 1997. They were married for 20 years but have been together for 40 years.
 
Leon was employed with several companies during his lifetime. He worked for the Over Will Service Station, Cartersville, Georgia; Lockheed Martin, Marietta, Georgia and Thrall Car, Cartersville, Georgia as a welder.
 
He was diagnosed with having an aneurysm and medically retired from the company. After leaving Thrall Car, he continued doing the things that he loved to do, such as working on cars, fixing tires,being a big jokester and having fun with his family.
 
Left to cherish his memories, his loving devoted wife, Louise McGregor; children, Kelvin Glenn and Cynthia Echols (Neal); grandchildren, LaTascha "Slim" , LaTischa "Tuts" Echols, and Janiya Woods; brother, O.D.McGregor (Betty) of Detroit, Michigan; sister, Phyllis R. Brown of Cartersville, Georgia; three aunts, Jewell McGregor, Bonnie J. McGregor and Elizabeth Strickland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
