Mrs. Louise Livsey, 86, of Cartersville, Georgia passed on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Cartersville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00pm at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church,1310 Old Alabama Road, Stilesboro, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state in the church from 12:00pm (noon) until the hour of service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia.
Louise Livsey was born April 17, 1932 in Heard County to Julie Bell Rome Heard and John Thomas "Toab" Heard. Louise left her earthly home for glory on Saturday, September 1, 2018 to be with the lord. She left all her pain and suffering behind and is walking without her cane or walker.
She married the late Charles E. Livsey Sr. on December 28, 1946, and seven children were born to this union. They were married for sixty years prior to his death in 2006.
Louise was affectionately known as “Mamug” to her children and grand children. Mamug's favorite past time was entertaining family and friends with her wonderful cooking and beautiful smile.. It was not uncommon for her to have up to sixty people at her house for dinner. Her biggest joy was baby-sitting her grand children and other people’s children. She
made them all feel very special and they were special to her. After the children entered school; Mamug began raising chickens and they became her babies.
Mamug was known for her outfits and hats. No one could wear a hat like Mamug!
She was preceded in death by her husband,Charles Sr.; son, Steve L. Livsey and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Livsey.
Left to cherish her memories are, Charles Livsey Jr. ( Gloria), Helen Goggins (Vernon),Larry Livsey, Rosalyn McCorkle ( Michael), Judy Richards ( Lawrence), Cedtra Jefferies (Leroy),Curtis Heard (Martha); Two sisters, Mildred Peeks (Reuben) and Georgia Richey; one brother, Earnest Dean (Linda); fifteen grand children, twenty-two great grand children and one great- great grand child; two sisters-in-law, Alma Ruth Heard and Ann King Henderson; two very special nephews, Harvey King Jr. and Thomas Heard, special friend, Emma Jean Kennedy and a host of other relatives and friends.
