Welcome to the memorial page for

Ms. Carol Louise Livsey

March 11, 1955 ~ December 30, 2017 (age 62) 62 Years Old

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Rev. 21:4 (KJV)

Saturday morning, December 30, 2017, God in His infinite wisdom saw fit to call home to glory a loving and devoted mother, a wonderful sister, a fun and cool aunt, a great friend, and a child of God, Carol Louise Livsey.

Carol was born on March 11, 1955, the sixth of ten children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Livsey, Sr.  She joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was a member of the Usher Board.  Carol later moved her membership to Greater New Fellowship.

On June 5, 1992, Carol gave birth to her pride and joy, Mary Bethany Livsey.  Beth Pooh was her reason to smile and live.  No matter where she was or what she was doing, she was always talking about Beth Pooh.  She raised a smart, determined, and driven young woman, who will continue to make her proud.  Carol was a great mother.

Carol was a hard-worker, who made friends wherever she worked.   Not only did she love people, she loved Doublemint gum, fried chicken and singing, “You don’t know (what the Lord has done for me).”  Her smile and laughter were contagious and if she was present at any event, you were sure to have a good time.  Although she spent the last 16 years on dialysis and dealing with complications from it, she did not complain.  Carol always showed strength, and often said, “He ain’t through with me yet.”  She fought a good fight and finished her race.

She leaves to celebrate her life: her loving daughter, Mary Bethany Livsey; her lifelong companion, Charles Wilson; three sisters, Deborah Livsey, Rosalyn (Jimmy) Brown, and Deirdre Q. Livsey; four nieces, Elaine (Terrell) Amos, Allison Livsey, Taylor Brown, and Peyton Brown; a nephew, Robert (Kimberly) Livsey; a great niece that she loved dearly, Taylor Denise Livsey; three faithful best friends, Teresa Porter(cousin), Leslie Harris, and Deana Rowland, and a host of aunts, cousins and friends.

Service for Ms. Livsey will be Saturday, January 6, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 147 Jones Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.  She will lie-in-state from 10:00 until the hour of service.  Interment will follow the service at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, 1310 Old Alabama Road, Stilesboro, Georgia.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger & Sons Funeral Home.
