Ms. Erma Joyce Maxine (King) King

Erma Joyce King, 45, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.  at St. Luke A.M.E. Church, 130 Jones Street, Cartersville, Georgia. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home.

Erma Joyce Maxine King, the daughter of Neoma Hill was born on July 27, 1972, in Rockmart, Georgia. On Thursday, February 15, 2018, she received her wings and went home to live with the Lord.

Joyce as she was affectionately known graduated from Cartersville High School in the class of 1990. She furthered her education at Payne College, where she majored in Computer Science.

She was employed by Target for the last twenty years and held several positions with the company. Joyce loved her job and her co-workers, they were her friends and extended family.

Joyce leaves to cherish her loving memory, her life partner, Sean Witherspoon; mother, Neoma Hill; one daughter, Anitra Witherspoon; four sons, Mitchel Demetrius Johnson, Christopher Terrell Johnson, Kenneth LaSean Witherspoon and Jordan Isiah Witherspoon; brother-cousin, Thomas Lee Heard (Wilma); sister-cousins, Merinda, McConnell (Sean), Theresa Green (John), Jasmine McConnell, Hattie McConnell, Jewell Smith (Joseph), all of Cartersville, Georgia; one aunt, Denise Heard of Stockbridge, Georgia; one uncle, Charles King, of Columbus, Ohio; nieces, nephews, cousins, 969 Cartersville Target family members; special childhood sister-friends, Nicole Smith and Tiffinee Upshaw of Cartersville, Georgia.
