Ms. Linda Everett Obituary

Ms. Linda Louise Everett, 71, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Cartersville First Baptist Church, 241 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Interment will follow in Rowland Springs Cemetery, 79 Rowland Springs Road SE, Cartersville, GA 30121.The Family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2019, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Linda Louise Wilkins Everett was born March 1, 1948 in Cartersville, Georgia to the late John Andrew and Lillie Bess Wilkins. She attended St. Luke AME Church, where she served faithfully.Linda was a member of the G.C.Hope Choir, and participated in other ministries.

Linda was educated in the Bartow County School System and graduated from Summer Hill High with the Class of 1965. She furthered her education at the Area Vocational Technical School where she received her credentials in Business.

In 1978 she accepted a job with the Bartow County Government, serving as the Office Coordinator under Commissioner Clarence Brown. After thirty-one years of dedicated service Linda retired. Even after retiring she continued to service Bartow County Community as a Poll Worker for the county and in other capacities.

Linda served as Head Ambassador of the Noble Hill Wheeler Memorial Center Foundation; the Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee and The Annual Emancipation Program. She was a pillar of the Cartersville and Bartow County Community and gave unselfishly to others.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory; two daughters, Natalie Denise Everett and Anita Michele Everett of Powder Springs, GA.; three sisters, Hattie B. Weems, Lucy Dodson and Yvonne Pritchett; one sister-in-law, Betty Jean Wilkins; two grandchildren, Ashley Nash and Bryce Bynum; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
