Robert Bill Stringer

Mr. Robert Bill Stringer, 68 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11:00am at the Cartersville Church of the Covenant, 413 Hamilton Crossing, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 10:00am until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, 2001 Liberty Square Drive , Cartersville, GA 30120.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Cartersville Church of the Covenant, 413 Hamilton Crossing, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. 

Robert Bill Stringer was born on October 17, 1951 in Bartow County to the late John Lee Stringer and Mary Sue Williams. He was educated in the Bartow County School System.

Robert affectionately known as “R. B.” to his family and friends was a born again Christian. He was a dedicated member of the Cartersville Church Of The Covenant where he Was known as a Prayer Warrior. He enjoyed listening to his Bible On CD sometimes all night. He Loved serving the Lord. He had a special love for his church family and they loved him back

R. B. met and married Katherine Yates, the love of his life. They Enjoyed looking at the stars and moon while listening to the oldies songs from their younger years.Their Love for each other Only grew stronger and they remained faithful until death departed them for a time.

He was employed with Shaw Industries; he had 17 years of service and became disabled with severe pain.

In his spare time, you could find R. B. building slot cars, or just working on cars. He and Willie Wilson would often go hiking for days at a time Enjoying Their Adventures on Pine Log Mountain. He Loved the outdoors and enjoyed Gods colorful creations and amazing wildlife.

Together they were Blessed with one son, Benjamin Lee Stringer, whom they Love Deeply and Are Proud Of His Accomplishments In Life. Greatest being a Christian with a big Heart and Is A Loving Husband and friend.

Outside of marrying Katherine, R. B. considered receiving his GED another major accomplishment in his life, and we were so happy for him!

He was preceded in death by his parents; Brother, Robert Stringer, Wife Elsie, Sister, Mary Ann Pirkle; Husband Jr. Pirkle.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Katherine Stringer; one son, Ben (Helen) Tolliver Stringer, Freckles & Buddy Who Are Furry Loving Family Members Who Brought Joy And Laughter Into our home. Siblings, Matthew (Virginia) Stringer, Johnny (Pat) Stringer, Donny Stringer, Annie Sue Hembree, Margie (Charles) Hembree; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and A dear family member Christine White, Who was a Blessing Helping During These Hard Times Of  R.B.’s Illness And Blessed friends.
