Travis Dominic Stallworth, 61, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00pm at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 1:00pm until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Travis Dominic Stallworth was born on March 4, 1956 in Montgomery, Alabama to Mary Louis Stallworth and the late Richard Preston Stallworth, Sr. He was the second child born to this union.

Travis joined church at an early age and was very active in the youth programs affiliated with the church. He became a Boy Scout and enjoyed earning his various badges.

He was educated in the Montgomery School System. Travis moved to Cartersville, Georgia with his aunt Nell Marie Cody and attended Cartersville Middle School. He later moved to Bronx, New York where he graduated with the class of 1974. After graduating he served his country in the United States Army. When his tour of duty was completed he moved back to Cartersville, Georgia with his beloved Aunt Nell Marie Cody, where he resided until his untimely death on July 3, 2017.

Travis was self-employed as a General Contractor for many years. He was well known throughout Bartow and other surrounding Counties. He will be greatly missed by his clients and friends that he has helped throughout his laboring years.  

He leaves to cherish his memories; a daughter, Dena Lagares and one granddaughter, Armani of Alpharetta, GA.; a devoted mother, Mary Louis Stallworth of Greenville, AL.; Sister, Evangeline Constance Stallworth Knight of Montgomery, AL.; Brother, Richard Preston Stallworth Jr. (Adele) of Detroit, MI.; aunts, Marie Williams of McKenzie, AL. and a special and loving Aunt Nell Marie Cody of Acworth, GA; Uncles, Eaphrom Stallworth (Bessie) of Detroit, MI. and Charlie Stallworth, Jr. of Altamonte Springs, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and special friends.
