Mother Annie Callahan affectionately called "Mama Annie" was born on Sunday, October 2, 1927 to the late Louise Kincaid Cooper. On Monday, August 2, 2021 she left her earthly home to enter eternal rest.

Annie accepted Christ at a very young age and served Him faithfully as a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cartersville, Georgia. When her health began to fail and attendance was limited she looked forward to the visits from her Pastor Rev. Lampley and the Deacons. She'd be so excited and wanted to be looking pretty because the Pastor was coming.

She was a Senior Member of the Usher Board. As an Usher at Church she held that position with reverence and authority letting you know when it was proper to enter and proper to leave. With "Mama Annie" on post, there was no running in and out of church, no talking, no chewing gum or eating candy in the Sanctuary. She was about respecting the house of God.

Annie was educated in the Bartow County School System attending Summer Hill High School. She was very active at Summr Hill in the PTA, as a secretary, worked concessions, Band Mother and attending school activities for many years.

Annie was employed by Union Carbide/Clorox and after many years retired to enjoy a long prosperous life. Mama Annie was very involved in her Acworth community taking on the role of making sure that bereaved families were fed by getting neighbors together to prepare meals in their time of sorrow.

"Mama Annie" was a Matriarch of the Family. A strong Black Woman who spoke boldly and just what was on her mind.... and when she spoke you better believe we listened....sometimes even in fear. She was one of God's chosen caregivers caring for both the young and old. She will truly be missed.

Her road had become rough and the f=hills were getting hard to climb so she accepted it with grace and left this world behind. No more worries , no more paoin, eternal life she's gained.

Annie was married to Elmo Andrews and to this union one son was born Elmo Michael Andrews. Later in life she married James Callahan and received a daughter a a bonus Lucile Callahan Blalock. She was a the adopted parent of DeVaughn Kincaid.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse James Callahan, one brother, Melvin Kincaid, sisters, Jane Kincaid Marshall and Carrie Mae Jones, and a very dedicated Grandson, Ricky Griffin.

She leaves to cherish her memories, children, Michael (Pam) Andrews, Lucile (Walter) Blalock and DeVaughn Kincaid; sister, Ethel Kincaid Willmot; brother, Clarence Kincaid; brother-in-law, Benniw (Maxine) Weems; grandchildren, EricaYoung Smith (Vernon), Kendra Andrews, Tevin Andrews, Keecia(Travis) Scott; great-grandchildren, Princess, Asia, Brandon, Trevor, Xavier(Katie), JaMaya, Parisse, Paige, Indya; great-great-grandchildren, Maison, Mylo, Aiden and Malia. Special cousin Ann Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends whom she loved dearly.

As we celebrate the life of "Mama Annie" today let us remember the good she's done and all the times we had fun. Let us remember her special Mac n' Cheese and the tines she reminded us to say "Thank you & Please". One of the Nurses at the facility she was in told us that when Mama Annie first came in to be cared for she asked her if she knew Jesus out of concern for her soul.....she said Mama Annie looked up at her and said "I've been knowing Jesus for a long time". What a way to go.....confessing you know Jesus. She left us an example to follow......Know Jesus for yourself.

So Mama Annie we release you to go with the confidence you knew where you were going. Yes our hearts are heavy and our eyes may be filled with tears, but we thank God for your "93" years. We won't say Goodbye but "See You Later". Rest In Peace. Special Thank You A special Thank you to Princess who dedicated her life to being "Mama Annie's" daily caregiver.
