Annie Bell Carter Sanders, 92, of Kingston, Georgia, entered into Eternal Rest on November 17, 2025, surrounded by the love, gratitude, and gentle presence of her family.
Born on November 27, 1932, to Ernest and Lucille Davis Carter, Annie was the eldest of thirteen children—a role she embraced with strength, grace, and a nurturing spirit that would define her entire life. Raised in Adairsville and educated in the Bartow County School System, she grew into a young woman grounded in faith, family, and perseverance.
On December 17, 1949, Annie married the love of her life, Sam Sylvester Sanders. Their union was rooted in devotion, partnership, and an unbreakable bond. Blessed with two children, Annie and Sam extended their love far beyond their immediate family, helping raise and guide many others, leaving an indelible mark on every life they touched.
Annie accepted Christ at an early age and united with Queen Chapel Independent Methodist Church, where she faithfully served for decades. Whether singing in the choir, stewarding finances as Treasurer, or supporting various ministries, she lived her faith with sincerity, humility, and joy.
As a young woman, Annie worked as head waitress at the Braven Hotel in Cartersville, Georgia, where her warmth and poise made her a beloved presence. In 1968, she began her career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, joining her husband Sam at the Cartersville plant. Throughout her years at Goodyear, she distinguished herself as a supervisor, earning national recognition as one of the company’s top ten supervisors and representing Goodyear in multiple states. She retired in 1994, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, dedication, and excellence.
Annie was a woman of many gifts. She loved reading, playing the piano—and even teaching lessons—dancing, singing, and enjoying spirited games of spades with her family. She was a devoted watcher of court TV shows, an avid Family Feud enthusiast, and a proud admirer of Steve Harvey. Known for her impeccable style, she was truly a fashionista—always coordinated, always elegant, and often matching lovingly with her husband. Annie adored being pampered, dressing up, and embracing life with confidence and flair.
Her “son-in-love,” Patrick (“Pat-Pat”), made sure she never missed an appointment and chauffeured her anywhere she wished to go. She shared a remarkable closeness with her children—deep, unshakeable bonds filled with laughter, late-night movies, music, and companionship. She treasured every moment spent with her beloved grand “SON,” Kenneth, especially their rides and shopping trips together. Annie carried an infectious smile, a lively spirit, and a natural magnetism that made people gravitate toward her wherever she went. She loved being the center of attention—and the world happily obliged.
