Antonio Wright Obituary

Mr. Antonio Wright, 36 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00AM at Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1 Mt. Olive Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton, Georgia 30114. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 6:00OM - 7:00PM at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines,physical distancing practices ill be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend , so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Antonio Donovan Wright entered eternal peace on July 5, 2022, into the arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Antonio was born in Jackson, Mississippi on June 22, 1986 to the late Anthony Keith Wright and Vanessa Kelly Jones. He accepted Christ under the leadership of Pastor Jimmy Lee Edwards at Rosemont Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson, Mississippi. Antonio’s early education started at Key Elementary School, after relocating to Cartersville he attended Cartersville Middle School and and graduated from Woodland High School in the class of 2004. After completing High School, He joined the United State Navy and was stationed in Pear Harbor Hawaii. While
serving his country he was deployed to Iran and Iran. He also served on the Katrina Hurricane Rescue Mission. Antonio’s dedication to his country earned him many Decorations, Medals, Badges, Citations and Ribbons; just to name a few, he received the following; NMC Achievement Medal; Meritorious Unit Award; Good Conduct Medal, (2) National Defense Service Medals Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medals; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Expert Rifle Medal; Expert Pistol Shot Medal and others. Antonio was ranked as an E-7 Navy Chief Petty Officer and Honorably discharged on December 22, 2014. After serving the military he was employed by Shaw Industries and then later Sheet Metal Cooperation.
Antonio was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Keith Wright and stepfather, Paul Jones.
Left to cherish his loving memory Antonio leaves his mother, Vanessa Kelly Jones; sister, Ashley Edwards; brother, Shane Wright; nephew, Kaleb Edwards; niece, Erin Cornelius; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
