Mrs. Beverly Ann Johnson, 84, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 1:00PM at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 12:00PM (Noon) until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, 790 Indian Mound Road SE, Cartersville, GA 30120.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE - STREAMED.

Mrs. Beverly Ann McDow Johnson, 84 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.

Beverly was born on February 3, 1937 in Adairsville, Georgia to the late Oteel Curtis McDow and the late George W. McDow. She grew up in Adairsville, Georgia and attended Stephens High School in Calhoun, Georgia, where she was crowned Queen. She later attended and graduated from the historic Summer Hill High School with the Class of 1957.

After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, the late Norman Johnson, Sr. Beverly worked for EZ Mills and Union Carbide until her retirement.

Beverly was a long-time member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church and a faithful Usher.

Her aunt, Joan Barbara Curtis; and her brother, Ambrose C. McDow, precede Beverly in death.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her children, Alfreda Johnson Sullivan (Joe) and Norman Johnson, Jr. (Eva); sisters, Miriam McDow Henderson, Brenda Canty (Charles), and Erica Bridges (Darrell); grandchildren, Vermica Johnson, Dustin Johnson (Leah), Jerrod Sullivan, and Ravin Johnson; great-grandchildren, Lauryn and London Johnson; first cousins who she loved dearly, Elihue and Retibilist Curtis; sister-in-laws, Mary McDow, and Rose Spivey (Alan); brother-in-law, Melvin Johnson (Mary Alice); nieces, Patrice Johnson, Monique Whipple Terica Lewis (John), Kristy Spivey, and Shelby Wilson (Charles); nephews, Brian Arnold, Joey McDow, Jimmy Ragland (Barbara), Kirk Ragland, and Reggie Spivey; three best friends, Betty Ruth Callahan Benham, Barbara Jean Weems Green (both of Cartersville, Georgia) and Betty Hill Weems of Compton, California; and a host of other great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
