Mr. Billy James Sanders, 82, aka "Big Bill" and "Wild Bill" of Kingston, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Kingston Cemetery, 74 Johnson Street, Kingston, Georgia 30145.
Billy was born on December 27, 1937 to Ella Mae and George Sanders, in Catoosa County, Georgia. He was raised in Kingston, Georgia. On Friday, May 8, 2020, he took his eternal rest.
Billy was educated in the Bartow County School System at Summer Hill. He was a member of the Mason’s, as well as the Army Reserve. He served America from 1956-1964. Billy joined Queen Chapel Methodist Church in Kingston and was a member for many years. He was also a former City Councilman in Kingston.
Billy was employed and retired from General Electric. After retirement, he started his own business called Bills BBQ, but was also known as the “Boom Boom Room”.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnn Sanders; daughter, Brenda Smith; two sons, Spencer Printup and Phillip Printup; sister, Georgia Williams; brothers, Joseph Sanders, Howard Sanders, John Sanders, and Sam Sanders; grandson, Demaurion McConnell; and great-grandson, Norman ‘Bruh Man’ Moore.
Billy was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He leaves to cherish his loving, fond memories, his children, Vantella Weathers, Reverend Homer Printup, Cathy Printup (P.J. Hennis), Wendy Linley (Tommy Linley), London Smith (Wueka Smith), Shamair Dixon, and Kristy Jackson (James Jackson); brother, Mack Sanders; sisters-in-law, Annie Bell Sanders and Betty Sue Sanders; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends. Also, a special friend, Ricky ‘Half Pint’ Singleton.
