He was educated in the Paulding County School System during segregation. Charlie was affectionately known by his family and friends as “Charles” or Mr. Charlie. His close friend from dialysis, Mrs. Gale Thomas called him “Preacher Man”.

Charlie joined the Transformation Christian Outreach Center and was ordained as a Prophet on March 9, 2014, under the leadership of Apostle Tim and Rhonda Adams. Within the same year, Prophet Charlie and Pastor Bridgett started their church, Divine Restoration Outreach Ministries Inc. Prophet Charlie started working with CA Thackston Paving Company as a teenager and worked there many years, working his way through the company. By the time he left that job he was foreman in the paving department.

Prophet Charlie relocated to Bartow County and accepted a job with Woodland High School as a custodian. He retired after 25 plus years of service. Talk about Love at first site, in 1986 Prophet Charlie met a young lady by the name of Bridgette Montay Jewell and said, "That's the girl I'm going to marry!" They were married on September 29th, 1986, and moved to Marietta, Georgia. This union lasted 35 years, and God gave them a beautiful daughter, Miracle Clark.

Prophet Charlie loved the Lord. He loved to call his friends on the phone and tell them about Jesus, and how to be saved. He never met a stranger. Charlie was a talker and talked to everyone. He started the conversation off with “ My name is Charlie Clark, and I will run your battery down!” He also loved fishing and hunting prior to loosing his eyesight. Charlie took his well-deserved rest on Monday, December 13th at 12:00 PM with his loving wife, lying right by his side.
