Chris Leon Bailey was born on August 21, 1974, to Leonard M. Bailey Sr. and the late Rosalyn M. Bailey. The youngest of nine children, Chris held a special place in the hearts of his family, bringing a unique light and joy that could never be replicated.
Raised in Bartow County, Chris attended the Bartow County School System and later proudly earned his G.E.D. through North Metro Technical School. His professional journey led him to the Cartersville Care Center for Nursing and Healing, where he worked as a dietitian. His gentle spirit, compassion, and genuine love for people made him a natural fit in the healthcare field, where he devoted over 20 years to serving and uplifting others.
Chris had a gift for finding beauty in life’s simplicity. He approached each day with quiet strength, never shying away from challenges, and always meeting them with patience and grace. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to bring a smile to those around him was effortless. Known for his love of music, Chris was rarely without a song on his lips—whether singing aloud or humming a familiar tune, music was his constant companion.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Rosalyn M. Bailey; three brothers, William, Alexander, and Walter Bailey; and his grandparents, Walter and Odessa Bailey, and Walter and Lorraine Johnson.
Chris leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy in the hearts of those who knew him. He is lovingly remembered by his father, Leonard M. Bailey Sr.; two sisters, Rosalyn G. Bailey and Audrey Bailey; three brothers, Leonard V. Bailey, Otis (Jennifer) Bailey, and Willis (Mali) Bailey; as well as a host of aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Chris’s life was a testament to the power of a warm smile, a caring heart, and a song shared in joy. His memory will live on in the melodies he loved and the love he gave so freely.
