Christine McAfee (McAfee) Henderson

Mrs. Christine McAfee Henderson, 78, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away quietly on Saturday, November 5, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:00PM at Faith Temple Church of God In Christ, 29 Redcomb Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120. The body will lie in-state in the church from 12:00PM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, 165 Old Tennessee Road NE, Cartersville, GA 30121.

Mrs. Christine McAfee Henderson passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 5, 2022. She was born on April 21, 1944, to the late Joe and Irene McAfee, both of Cartersville, Georgia. Christine was educated in the Cartersville School System. Christine was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Timothy Henderson. They were married for fifty plus years and they were blessed with three daughters.

She joined Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, where she faithfully served on the Mother’s Board. She was employed by Springdale Convalescent Home and retired after thirty-five years of service. Christine enjoyed singing and shouting for the Lord, cooking, shopping and most of all being with her family.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Martin, Fred, Robert, Buddy and Joe Howard McAfee all of Cartersville, Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her three daughters, Martha Chisum, Rebecca ( Kenny) Thomas, and Wanda ( Gabriel) Caldwell; one brother, Soloman ( Barbara) McAfee; two sisters, Vesta Moore and Willie Jean ( Joel) Waites; six grandchildren, Brandy, Jermaine, Raymone, Christina, Jazlyn and Amber; eight great grandchildren, Jayda, Decoreyon, Jusiah and Doxton, a special friend, Mrs. Christine Brown; and her favorite four legged pal “Charlie” and a host of family and friends
