God saw him getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered “Come to Me.”
After a valiant battle against the effects of COVID-19, The Lord reclaimed one of His own on August 26, 2021. Corey is in the arms of a loving God and has found peace, contentment, and rest.
Corey was born on June 20, 1975 in Rome, Georgia, to Virginia Stevenson Morris and the late Tommy Morris. Corey was the eldest of the two children born to this union. At an early age, he became a member of Damascus Baptist Church in Emerson, Georgia. Corey would follow in his father’s footsteps and become a proud Cartersville Hurricane football player and a 1995 graduate. After graduation, Corey studied computer programming and graphic design at The Art Institute of Atlanta and also worked, alongside his father, at Glad Products until its closure in 2004. When not working, Corey loved to work on cars and was an avid sports fan. Until his untimely death, Corey was a hard-working and dedicated employee at Anheuser Busch.
