Mr. Cory Dont'e Youngblood, 49 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 25, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 12:00PM (Noon) at Unity Worship Church, 214 Nelson Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 11:00AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, 165 Old Tennessee Rd. NE, Cartersville, GA 30121.
Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines,physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Cory Dont’e Youngblood was born on November 10, 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia to Hattie Pearl Strickland and Alonzo Youngblood. He was educated in the Clayton County School System and graduated from Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia. After graduating Cory and his mother moved to Cartersville, Georgia and this became his earthly home.
At an early age Cory had an entrepreneurial spirit and he knew he wanted to have his own business someday. At the age of twelve, he started selling candy to his classmates and friends in the neighborhood. That progressed into selling jewelry and CD’s and many other things. He later developed a passion for auto detailing and washing cars while working with his Uncle Donald at Lucky’s Car Wash. He was so good at detailing autos, he opened his own car washing and detailing business; King of Kleen.
Several years ago, Cory met Pastor Sebastian Holley and started attending his services at Unity Worship Church.
His grandfathers, Alonzo Strickland and Vernon Youngblood, precede Cory in death.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories; his children, Corressa, Cory and Brandon (Stephanie Smith); Tynia Youngblood (Carrie Chitwood); Akyra Youngblood (Crystal Calvender); parents, Hattie Perry and Alonzo Youngblood; sister, Niemeia Youngblood; grandmothers, Louise Strickland and Luella Youngblood; uncles, Curtis Joseph Youngblood, Pete O’Neal; aunts, Naomi Youngblood; special aunt, Harriett Wells (Eddie); special uncle, Donald Strickland; Eastside/Westside Barber Shop Boys and his beloved dog”Lilman”; and a host of cousins and friends.
