Courtney LaShaun Gainor, 35 formerly of Cartersville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on  Wednesday, January 14, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at House of Liberty Church , 10 Womack Drive SE, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger and  Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Courtney LaShaun Gainor passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Courtney was born on February 18, 1990 to Felecia Montoya. 

He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Joe Odom and Frances Gainor. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Felecia Montoya (Manuel Montoya) , his sisters; Jantisha Gainor and Taylor Hudson; his two children, LaShaun Gainor and Ze'Mari Brown; his favorite cousins, Tracy Wofford and Constance Henderson, his great aunt, Mary-Lee Valdes (Oscar Valdes), his aunts; Lois Mitchell (Archie Mitchell), Kay Benham (Michael Benham), Constance Odom, Scharri Morris, Freida Wofford (Aaron Mitchell) and Phyllis Gainor-Christian (Roy Christian), his uncles, Roger Gainor, Darrell Gainor and Dexter Hall (Trena Hall); his special friends; Nakita Smith, Connie Skriptko, Devin Reynolds, MiShayla Pollard and Dewayne Pollard; Lavada Johnson and family and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. His presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

 Courtney loved working and spending time with his family, friends, and his kids. He loved playing and watching basketball and football. May his life be an inspiration , and may we find comfort in knowing that his light continues to shine through the love and kindness he left behind.
