The family is our main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted.

Mr. Darryl Esa Thomas, Sr. was born October 13, 1967 in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois to Elizabeth Thomas and the late Esa Thomas.
On April 15th, Darryl was greeted by many loving family members who now dwell in Heaven, namely, his father, Esa Thomas; sister, Lisandria Thomas; uncles, John Kincaid, LaSalle Thomas, Walter Thomas and Douglas Thomas.

Darryl was immersed in the Christian Community that would be his lifelong support from an early age. He graduated from Cass Comprehensive High School with the class of 1987 and later attended North Metro Technical College. Because of his love and influence on children in the community many of then looked up to him as a father figure and mentor. Darryl showed himself to be friendly wherever he went, and never met astranger. He had an illuminating sense of humor that could lighten any room or lift a heavy burden.

Darryl was a die hard Dallas Cowboy fan; his friends and family knew if they mentioned the Dallas Cowboys, Darryl would rise to the occasion. He loved his Cowboys!!
Darryl managed the DJ Clothing Store, as was affectionately call “Mr. DJ “ by his customers and friends. They all left the store with a big smile on their faces, because they knew they were dressed to impress!!

Darryl leaves to cherish his memories of love and kindness, children, Eric Williams, Kaylesha Williams (Alexander), Tyland Thomas Robinson (Aaron), Deanna Postell, Darryl Thomas, Jr., Nina Johnson, and Brooklyn Thomas; a devoted mother, Elizabeth Ann Thomas; brothers, Michael Andre’ Thomas, Sr. (Cassandra), and Radford Thomas; sisters, Karen “Wendy” Thomas (Scott), Deborah Ruth, and Angela Thomas-Cooley (Calvin); six grandchildren, Rachel, Kayden, Camden, Kaliyah, Adrian, and Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin’s other family & friends.
