Obituary

Mr. David Leon Hall, 84, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

David Leon Hall was born on September 30, 1937 to the late Jessie Hall and Savannah Carson in Rome, Georgia.

He was educated in the North Rome School System.  When David graduated from high school he moved to Cartersville, Georgia where he met the love of his life and later married her, Ms. Estelle Winters. David was a hard workingman and provided for his family to the best of his ability.

He worked for Cartersville Spinning as a Maintenance Technician for several years and then later started doing construction work for the various companies in the surrounding counties.

David’s favorite pastime was watching television and the local sport shows; and don’t forget the weekly westerns. His family was his pride and joy and he loved them more than life itself. He spent many a days sitting on the front porch with his wife Estelle watching the children play out in the yard. As the children got older and had their own families, he was a proud grandfather to them and loved them more than anything. David ‘s health began to fail him after he lost the love of his life , so he used his spare time to take care of the needs of his children and grandchildren. If you ever needed a friend David was there for you and if you ever need a meal just drop by and he would feed you. Those that knew him loved him, for he had a heart of gold.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Estelle Hall; and his parents; siblings, John, Eugene, Robert, Jessie, Fred, Charles, Minnie Bell, Louise, Virginia, Jessie Mae, Herschel and Lillie Bee Hall.

David leaves to cherish his memories, three children; five grandchildren;; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
