Delsandra Edwards

Delsandra Edwards, 65 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Floyd Health System, Rome, Georgia. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 29,2023 at 2:00P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 1:00P.M. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, 319 North Erwin Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Early in the day on Saturday, July 22, 2023, the heavenly angel came and released the body of Delsandra Edwards into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Del as everyone that loved her knew her was the third daughter born to the late James Edwards Sr. and Annie Ruth Hudson Edwards.

Due to her physical challenges, Del was a long time resident of East Central Regional Hospital/Gracewood Campus in Augusta, Georgia. The staff at Gracewood Campus –Camellia 76-5, loved and treated Del as family and kept her family informed of any and all changes, updates or concerns.

Del is preceded in death by her parents, James and Annie Ruth Edwards; and her oldest sister, Phyllis Diane Benham.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Jacquelyn (Lloyd) Webb and Patricia (Tommy Sr.) Mays; one brother, James Edwards Jr.; nieces and nephews, Tracy Johnson, James Benham III, Tommy (Tamesha) Mays, Jr., Ashley Edwards and Austin Mays; great nieces and nephews, Ebony Toland, De’Mari Benham, Avery Veazey and Trinity Mays; and a host of other relatives and friends that loved her.

Don’t

 Don’t spend too much time in mourning, Tears are for the sad; I left to be with Jesus and this should make you glad. Don’t waste your time in grieving, No need to feel distressed. I was tired of life’s frustrations I had to get some rest. Don’t lose the love we had, Feed it with your care, Grow it with devotion and Spread it everywhere. Don’t fret because my leaving came in such a way, We will have another meeting in God’s external day.
