Donlin O. Hinton, Jr.

Mr. Donlin O. Hinton, Jr., 79 of Rome, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Cartersville Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11:00A.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 10:00A.M. until the hour of service. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

Donlin O. Hinton, Jr., was born on November 16, 1944 in Acworth, Georgia to the late Donlin O’Drea Hinton Sr. and Willie Belle Gordon. Donlin was affectionately called “Dino” by his friends and family.

Donlin was employed with Atlanta Gas and Light Company and retired after twenty-five plus years of service in 2006. He married Alice Faye Weaver and to this union, two sons were born.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Faye Weaver Hinton; parents, Donlin O. Hinton Sr. and Willie Belle Gordon and on stepson, Larry Moreland.

Left to cherish his memory, two daughters, Tammy (Bennie) Gorham, Denise Hinton; two sons, Donlin (Brannelle) Hinton and Brandon Hinton; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Harvey Henderson and a host of other relatives and friends
