Mrs. Effie Jean Gardner Williams, 60 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Piedmont Healthcare of Cartersville surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at New Hope Cathedral Ministry, 200 Nixon Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30161. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

                                               Lady Effie Jean Gardner Powells Williams

Mrs. Effie Jean Gardner Powells Williams was born on December 13, 1964, in Senatobia, Mississippi, as one of eight children, born to the late Harvey Renord. Powel and Lear Mae Gardner. She was educated in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Whitehaven High School in the class of 1983. She furthered her education at Shelby State Community College, Memphis Tennessee.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at Christ Holiness Temple Ministry, later joining the House of God Hebrew Pentecostal Church from there she moved her membership to the House of Prayer for All People. She moved her membership to Greater Life New Holiness Church. While working faithfully in the ministry, she was given the title of Evangelist.

Effie was united in holy matrimony to Bishop Milton C. Williams. Together they continued spreading the word of God, serving under the leadership of Bishop David Gillard of the Faith World Church. Lady Effie and Bishop M.C. Williams moved to Cartersville Georgia and started their own Ministry, Anointed Life Ministry. They were called to pastor the New Hope Cathedral Ministries, Rome Georgia, where they she served until her passing.

Those waiting to receive her are her parents; siblings, Ruby Lee, Joe Lee, and Robert Lee.

Lady Effie leaves to cherish her loving memory, a loving and devoted husband; Bishop M.C. Williams; children, Savannah, Samuel Jr., Samantha, Sabrina, Simeon, Savion, DuValle Jr., Dominique, Tomossa and Quincy; siblings, Annie (Albert), Linnell and Ella; sixteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many wonderful friends.
