Gloria Jean (Weaver) Richardson

Gloria Jean Richardson, 72, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Interment will be on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 11:30 A.M. at Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton, Georgia 30114. On Monday, October 27, 2025 at 2:08 p.m., while surrounded by family, God called one of his servants home.  Gloria Jean (Weaver) Richardson was born on February 23, 1953 to the late Mary Lou Kitchens and Aaron Martin, Jr. of Cartersville, Georgia.  She obtained her High School diploma from Cartersville High School “Class of 1972”.  

Gloria later enlisted in the United States Army where she served as a Firearms Specialist.  She also received an Associate’s Degree from North Metro Technical College. She worked for and retired from Shaw Industries after 25 years of employment.  After that, she became a private sitter/caregiver working mostly with the elderly and mentally disabled.  Gloria also became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church during her childhood and remained an active member until her health failed in 2022.  Even in sickness, her faith never waivered.

Gloria was preceded in death by both of her parents; her “Dad”, Herbert Kitchens; her sister, Shirley Weaver; and her great-grandson, Sevyn Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her only daughter, Danielle Richardson; two grandchildren, Courtney Holden and Kaedyn Morrow; one sister, Rita Mitchell; three very special friends, Carolyn Banks, Lisa Jackson, and Antoinette Morrow, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
