James Lee Craig, Jr. aka “Jimmy Jack” was born on September 20, 1960 to the late James Craig and Dorothy Johnson Craig. James passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Redmond Regional Hospital after a lengthy battle dealing with dialysis complications.

Jimmy Jack as he was called by all who knew him was educated in the Cartersville City School System, graduating with the Class of 1980 Purple Hurricanes. After graduating from high school James joined the United States Army where he served a six-year term in Communications.

James loved to drive. He was employed with Quest Trucking for many years until his health problems began to prevent him from driving. He loved music and cooking BBQ; he didn’t care what type of weather it was, if he felt like grilling, he was lighting up the grill.

James leaves to cherish his memories a loving daughter, Joyous Battle; two beautiful grandchildren, Alex and Tatiana, of Mobile, Alabama; brothers, Kenneth Craig and Michael Craig of Cartersville, Georgia; sisters, Myra Heard (Howard) of Cartersville, Georgia, and Antoinetta Holston (Tommy) of Jacksonville, Florida; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
