Mr. James Lee Craig, Jr., aka "Jimmy Jack", 60, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.
Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is he main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
James Lee Craig, Jr. aka “Jimmy Jack” was born on September 20, 1960 to the late James Craig and Dorothy Johnson Craig. James passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Redmond Regional Hospital after a lengthy battle dealing with dialysis complications.
Jimmy Jack as he was called by all who knew him was educated in the Cartersville City School System, graduating with the Class of 1980 Purple Hurricanes. After graduating from high school James joined the United States Army where he served a six-year term in Communications.
James loved to drive. He was employed with Quest Trucking for many years until his health problems began to prevent him from driving. He loved music and cooking BBQ; he didn’t care what type of weather it was, if he felt like grilling, he was lighting up the grill.
James leaves to cherish his memories a loving daughter, Joyous Battle; two beautiful grandchildren, Alex and Tatiana, of Mobile, Alabama; brothers, Kenneth Craig and Michael Craig of Cartersville, Georgia; sisters, Myra Heard (Howard) of Cartersville, Georgia, and Antoinetta Holston (Tommy) of Jacksonville, Florida; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
