Mr. James Keith Henderson, 29 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00PM at St. Luke A.M.E. Church , 130 Jones Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. The body will lie in state in the church from 1:00PM until the hour of service.
Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend , so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
James Keith Henderson, twenty-nine years young, left his footprints in the sand , to gain his wings to be with the Lord on January 26, 2022. He was born on November 10, 1992 in Cartersville, Georgia to Kevin Henderson and Starla Matthews Hobgood. His family affectionately called him "Baby J" and "Bubba James". His friends called him "Henny" or "Hendu".
James was dedicated to the Lord, and gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He was a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Methodist Church in Cartersville, Georgia. He was last employed with Greenview Floors in Adairsville, Georgia.
He attended Cass High School, and as a freshman he was a starter on the Varsity Basketball Team. The legacy of his kind spirit, passion for basketball and zest for life will live on through his children. James was an inspiration to all who knew him. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. He was a timeless, selfless, kind, gentle man, who loved spending time with family and friends. He was loved and adored by all who knew him.
He loved to eat and enjoyed cooking and trying different recipes. He would put his own touch in the food and it would taste so good. James enjoyed hanging out with his family, watching movies, and listening to music. He was always there to brighten the lives of others.
JAMES children, fiancée Mariah, whom he called "wifey" and family were his world. James and Mariah had a collaborative and caring, loving relationship. You could always find him being the life of the party. His presence was everything and full of laughter.
James is reunited with his loved ones, Paternal Grandparents, James "Sonny" and Elaine Henderson; Maternal Grandfather, Jack Matthews and his Uncle Todd Matthews.
JAMES leaves to cherish his loving memory, fiancée, Mariah Hunt "Wifey"; two sons, Jayden Keith and Kayden James Henderson; two daughters, Kilah Renee and Natalie Danielle "Boogie" Henderson; father and stepmother, Kevin and Annette Henderson; mother and stepfather, Starla and Marcus "Pops" Hobgood; maternal grandmother, Glenda Dial "Mawzey"; siblings, Blake (Crystal) Groce, Demaricus Henderson, Devin Henderson and Kevin Henderson, Jr.; three sisters, Chelsea Henderson (his best friend), Elrond (Levi), Jayda "bug" Henderson and Megan McRay; paternal aunt, Christie Moore (Kenneth); paternal uncles, James "Skip" Henderson and Keith Henderson (Helena); maternal aunt, Tina Matthews; nieces,nephews, cousins, friends, special aunt, Molly Overton; special uncle, Daron Crawford and godfather, Gary Davis; his fiancée's family Papa Dean and Hope Dupree.
