Jimmy Lee Scott

Mr. Jimmy Lee Scott, 70, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 12:00PM (Noon) at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend , so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Jimmy Lee Scott, beloved Father, Brother and Uncle, was born on July 13, 1951 to the late John Frank Johnson and Mary Lou Scott. Jimmy was a Graduate of Cartersville High School and received a Football Scholarship to attend the University of Tennessee.

In 1977, Jimmy married Dymple Ann Chatmon and to this union their only son, Demetric Andre Scott was born on October 21, 1978. 

Jimmy was faithfully and diligently employed at Goodyear for many years. Jimmy was a family man and enjoyed playing music and having fun. He was a friend to many and never met a stranger. To know him was to love him. Jimmy was a loving man and had a lot of relatives and friends whom he shared lots of fun times and memories with.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Audrey Kasey; Parents, and Brother, Larry Eugene Scott (Marilyn).

He leaves to cherish his loving memories with his son, Demetric; three grandsons, Caleb, Camden and Demetric,Jr. all of Cartersville, GA.; four sisters, Darlene Cochran, Freida Cochran, Charlene Maxwell (James) and Odessa Johnson all of Cartersville, GA.; and a host of niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
