Mr. Joe Frank Epps, 70, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at Cartersville Medical Center. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at Providence Cemetery, 165 Old Tennessee Rd. NE, Cartersville, Georgia 30121.
Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Mr. Joe Frank Epps was born April 20,1950 to the late Robert Applin and Viola Epps. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and brother. Joe was a lifelong Cartersville Hurricane Football Fan and was loved by everyone that he knew him. On Saturday, March 13, 2021, Joe answered the Lord’s call and took his eternal rest from his earthly labors.
Joe worked for Cartersville School System for 20 plus years until his retirement. After his retirement, he returned to work at Cartersville High School, as he missed the faculty, staff, and students, and they missed him too. He was certainly an asset to the Purple Hurricanes!
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Applin, and Viola Epps; brother, Daryl Applin; and sister, Brenda Applin.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of 44 years, Emma Jean Epps; son, Anthony L. Epps (Brigette); brother, James Epps (Melody); sister, Sharon Allmon (Robert); and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
