Joyce Yvonne (Boyd) Brown

Mrs. Joyce Yvonne Brown, 64 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Due to inclement weather, the service for Mrs. Brown will be at Mack Eppinger & Sons Chapel on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.  Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 319 North Erwin Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be admitted to the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted. However, the service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Joyce was born April 25, 1956 to the late Eumon Boyd and Julia Mae Green in Cartersville, Georgia and departed this earthly life on February 3, 2021.

Joyce received her education through the Bartow County School System and later attended Cartersville High School, lettering in basketball and graduated in 1974. For several years, she worked as an administrative assistant for United Plastic Films, Inc. and retired in 1996.

Joyce was truly a social butterfly who loved to entertain and cook for others. When she wasn't in the kitchen, she loved lifetime movies, crossword puzzles, spending time with her friends and doting on her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Brown, Sr. and stepdaughter, Terreonne Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Kevin Henderson of Miami, Florida and Ronnie Brown, Jr. (Taylor) of Sandy Springs, Georgia; grandchildren, Trystan Williams of Kennesaw, Georgia, Brent Williams of Los Angeles, California, Taylor Henderson of Chesnee, South Carolina, Rhys Brown of Sandy Springs, Georgia, and Reagan Brown of Sandy Springs, Georgia; sisters, Marilyn Gilliam, Jackie Gainor and Rita McAfee; brothers, Wayne Winters, Willie Troy Johnson (Charlotte) and Frankie Johnson; her only aunt, Ms. Hanna Pye; special friends, Mary Brown, Andy & Chris Tripp, Vanessa Wilmont, Ira Wilson, Toppy & Vanessa Lightening and Gail Garnigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
