Mr. Keith Berry Echols, 67 of Acworth, Georgia passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital surrounded by his loving family. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the chapel from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Mack Eppingr and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
In His infinite wisdom and gentle grace, Almighty God reached down from Heaven and whispered ever so quietly to one of his children these words “Come with me my son for it’s time to go home “, and so it was Sunday, July 5, 2026, God closed the eyes of our beloved Keith.
Keith Berry Echols was born on October 9, 1958, to the late Annie O. Echols-Hill and Ralph Kemp. He was educated through the Cobb County School System. He was affectionately known as “Berry” or “KB” by the ones who were closest to him. He fell in love with his high school sweetheart, Karen Blalock. Within this union two wonderful children were born Keith Vontai Echols and Jessica Rene Echols.
Keith worked in construction it was his specialty; therefore he thrived in being a construction worker. He was employed with Chumley Construction Company until his health began to fail.
Berry was very loving, kind, funny and outgoing. He was the life of the party, always laughing and joking around. He enjoyed watching his two favorite sports teams, the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves. Keith loved all his grandchildren. You couldn’t tell him anything bad about them, and he had an immense love for family and friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Annie O. Echols-Hill and Ralph Kemp; brothers, Wilbur Kemp, James Echols, Ray Charles Kemp; and sisters, Theresa Johnson and Brenda Kemp.
Keith leaves to cherish his memories; the love of his life Karen Blalock; son, Keith V. Echols (Tabitha); daughter, Jessica Echols (George); grandsons, Lavontai Echols and Arquevious Echols; granddaughter, Universe McCallum; sisters, Charlene Echols, Mary Echols, and Dorrine Kemp; aunt, Alice Echols; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
