Larry Darnell Hill

Mr. Larry Darnell Hill, 65 of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 21, 2023 at WellStar Cobb Hospital.. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1:00PM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 4192 Brownsville Road, Powder Springs, Georgia 30127. The body will lie in state in the church from 12:00PM (Noon) until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway S., Marietta, Georgia 30060. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 7:00PM - 8:00PM at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.Larry Darnell Hill was born in Powder Springs Georgia on July 12, 1957 to the late Juldean Hunter Richardson and Parker Hill. He attended and graduated from McEachern High School, Powder Springs Georgia. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Larry was employed with Honda Carland in Roswell, Georgia for twelve years. He was a dedicated employee and enjoyed working with his co-workers. They respected him and treated him like family. His presence will be greatly missed at the dealership.

He was a fun loving man who enjoyed sports, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a hard worker, and spent most of his life working at car dealerships.

On February 6, 1985 Larry received a special gift from God, the birth of his precious, beautiful daughter; Shamecha Danielle Hill, whom he loved and adored. He was especially proud of her and all of her accomplishments. He treated her like his little Princess. He never missed a day calling her before school or work, just to say Good Morning or Good Night at the end of the day and he would end each call by saying “Sweetest, Sweetest Dreams my sweet baby!” She was always his baby and nothing was better to her than her Daddy!

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Hill and nephew, Justin Hill.

He leaves to cherish him memory, beloved daughter, Miss “Mecha” Danielle Hill; sister, Martha Orr; brother, Lanard Richardson; Bonus family, Camille, Travis Kaitlyn and Kayloni Blevins, Sandra, Essence and Kendrick Pope; nieces and nephews, Christopher and Adrienne Hill, Michael Orr Jr., Gwenn Salazar and Daniel Orr; Sister-in-law, Linda and a host of other family and friends.
