Larry Dennis Robinson, Jr. , 34, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 in Cartersville, Georgia. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Crosspoint City Church , 325 Old Mill Road, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The body will lie in state in the church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. The family receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.
Larry Dennis Robinson, Jr., affectionately known as “JR” was born on February 20, 1991, to Sonya Winton and Larry Dennis Robinson, Sr. in Douglasville, Georgia.
JR was a devoted father, son, brother, and a friend whose love for his family was evident in all he did. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, taking family trips to the beach, and relaxing with video games.
He was a graduate of Ombudsman School, where he specialized in the Culinary Arts. He was a dedicated employee of Ingles Supermarket, where he worked for the past twelve years.
JR was united in Holy Matrimony with NaShonica Orr and to this union, two beautiful children were born. He was a faithful member of Crosspoint City Church, where he served on the audio-visual team, using his skills to support the ministry and enhance worship services. JR also attended services at various other churches, always seeking to grow spiritually and stay connected with his faith community.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Sadie Robinson, and Dorothy Ann Winton; aunts and uncles, Carlton Robinson, Alfonso Robinson, Gloria Jean Robinson, and Rosie Small.
JR leaves to cherish his memory four beloved children, Morgan Robinson, Leah Robinson, Lillie Robinson and Bobby Robinson; his loving parents, Sonya Winton and Larry (Joann) Robinson, Sr.; siblings, Brandon Winton, Jonjala Jackson, Brandon (Kimberly) Robinson, Tiara Robinson and Jasmine Sparkman; Godmother, Charlene Conley; aunts and uncles, Johnny (LuGene) Robinson, Floyd (Brenda) Robinson, Jerry (Felita) Robinson, Quinton (Rosemary) Robinson, Ruth Wiley, Katie Robinson, Fae Davis and Johnnie Mae Leonard; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
JR’s warm spirit, gentle nature, and unwavering love for his family and faith will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
