Laurie Ann Moore was born on October 4, 1962, in Cartersville, Georgia, to Freddie Moore and Maxine L. Moore (Weems). She departed this life on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Laurie was educated in the Marietta City School System. She later earned her GED through Job Corps and went on to become a Licensed Cosmetologist.

She enjoyed cooking and was famously known for her fried chicken. Laurie also loved dancing, doing hair, and spending quality time with her children, family, and friends. Definitely a lover of Southern Blues and a devoted fan of Johnny Taylor, Marvin Sease, and T.K.Soul.

Laurie spent many years working with small children in daycares and she was the proud owner of “L.A. Loving Hands,” where she lovingly cared for the elderly. She was a very loving, feisty, and kind spirited person who loved everyone dearly, loudly, and proudly.

Her devoted father, Freddie Moore, precedes her in death; niece, Latoya S. Moore; and her mother- in-love, Betty J. Route.

Laurie leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will be forever cherished by her mother, stepfather, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all who had the blessing of

knowing her. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her children, Courtney D. Bethel of Marietta, Georgia; Brittainy N.
