Leatha Ann Brown Bridges received her wings on June 2, 2022. She was born in Cartersville, Georgia on November 19, 1959, to the late Charlie and Dorothy Edwards Brown. Leatha Ann was educated in the Calhoun and Cartersville City School systems. She was a CNA at Springdale Nursing Home for several years. Leatha Ann accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was an active member at Christ Harvest Ministry in Carterville, Georgia.
Leatha Ann met her late husband, James Bridges, in 1988 and to their union two children were born, Rashad and Kierra Bridges. Her favorite pastime was spending time on the front porch with family and friends. She had a way of making every encounter with you feel like you were the most important person in “her” world.
Leatha Ann was a wonderful woman that is loved and will forever be missed. Our “LET,” as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many. Those who were blessed to know her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile, laughter, and love for her family brought joy into the lives of the ones she loved. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she touched and loved throughout her memorable life.
Leatha Ann was preceded in death by her late husband, James Bridges; and her father and mother, Charlie and Dorothy Brown.
She is survived by her two loving children, Rashad and Kierra Bridges of Cartersville, Georgia; three sisters, Eunice (Elder Rickie) Watters, Brenda (Reverend Samuel) Jewell, and Elaine (Willie) Brown; six brothers Charlie (Ethel) Brown, Danny Brown, Norris (Phyllis) Brown, Tony (Sonya) Brown, Conston (Lisa) Brown, and Steven (Diane) Brown; one special aunt, Ruby-Jean (David) Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as friends to cherish her loving memory.
