He was educated in the Bartow County School System and graduated from Cass High with the Class of 1970. After graduation Leon was drafted in the United States Army and served his tour of duty in Vietnam. Upon his return, he met and married Polly Slocum. To this union two beautiful children were born. He was employed at Thomson & Weinman for 21 years, when it closed, he found employment at Glad Manufacturing Company and finally Sara Lee Bakery in Rome, Georgia. He enjoyed working so much that when he retired, he worked parttime for Miles Janitorial Service.
Leon enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and working outside in the yard. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Lois Kennedy & Odis Pritchett, Sr.; sister, Emma Lois Pritchett; and brother, Odis Pritchett, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 53 years, Polly Pritchett; daughter, Tequia (Patrick) Horton; son Stefan (Melissa) Pritchett; and his 3 heartbeats, grandchildren, Madilynn, Tristan & Lynnsey; and a host of Nieces, Nephews & cousins.
